Faith - It's Alive!

What is faith? Many have asked this question, and as many answers exist as there are people to ask them. In its most basic form, faith is believing in something or someone. What we choose to believe is perhaps the most important aspect of our thinking. Our beliefs are what we want to become. We may not always live up to them, but over time we will become what we believe. When we believe that God's way is best and His standards of righteousness are good, over time we will look back and see steady progress towards becoming like God. Faith without works is no faith at all. Consider the following passage, taken from the book of James:
What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?... Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
-James 2:14, 19 (NIV)
In other words, faith without deeds is dead, but faith with deeds will have eternal effects. Let's chase after God and serve Him with a faith that knows no bounds.
