Don't Hold Back!

Sometimes we are afraid to write, to share, to open our hearts because we do not know what the response will be.

Wither it will be rejected, laughed at, torn apart or if we are really writing from the heart?

We wonder is what I share important?

Does it really matter in the whole scheme of things?

I mean, what can I possibly add to the mix of things and then I remembered how one word written, one thought expressed, sent at that moment, this week, where the very words that I needed to hear, that they were an answered to my hearts cry and though it was sent to hundreds, it was from the Father to me!

It was His way of letting me know, I hear you, I understand and I am writing this to you!

He makes it known that He wants to know us and for us to know Him. That He will open His word, His heart, to each of us as we come into His presence. His desire is to reveal Himself to us and for us to have fellowship and communion with Him.

The things that He writes through us, or the songs we sing, or the talents He has given us, are important because not only will it build up others, it will build us up also.

As we share that which the Lord has done in our lives, as we have that servants heart, to share , we build up one another in the faith.

In being real, we let others know it is ok to have doubts, fears, to wonder but also to let others know at the same time that we are not without hope.

We are made strong in the Lord, He gives us strength for our weakness, our fears are turned to hope, anger to forgiveness and bitterness to love.

No, it does not happen overnight or in one week, it takes time but it does happen, that we come to a place in our walk with the Lord, that we begin to wake each day to His presence, a knowing that as we come to Him each morning, that we will be walking together, that He abides in us and we in Him.

Recently I read that it is in the dark nights of the soul, that we slow down, brought into tense reflection, that we see things in the darkness we would never see in the light [St. John of the Cross - Dark Night of the Soul].

I have found this to be so, that in the dark nights of the soul, as I went through the events of my life the last three years.

Even in these last few weeks as I dealt with the pain, I began to sense even more the presence of the lord in the midst of it all, that I chose to let it draw me closer, rather than away from the Father and in that, peace and rest was given to me and by the faithfulness of one to write, to share and to send out, what was given to them, touch not only me, but others as well.

What you write, what you share, the gifts and talents that you have been given, are given, to be given out.

In sharing, we are serving!
