Are You Playing Chicken?

The other day I have lunch at the KFC Big Chicken in Marietta, Georgia.
It is a sign post of sorts, because most people in this area say if you pass the big chicken your heading in the right direction.
Who would have thought a big bird would be elevated to the place of giving one a sense of direction.
As I was eating lunch, I began to think about the game of chicken I used to play when I was a kid and think maybe some of us as adults are still playing chicken.
If there is one thing I have learned over the years, is the enemy likes to play chicken with us, to see if at the last moment, we will swerve, when he confronts us with the battles of life.
Do we let it get us out of focus? To sidetrack us, so that we look at the situations rather than staying focused on the Lord, knowing that He will show Himself strong and mighty, on our behalf.
The enemy likes to try and sidetrack us by the things that we are going through in our lives. He wants to keep us from growing, maturing in our walk and relationship with the Lord.
The enemy knows that as we grow in the Lord, in the word, in relationship with the Father, we will over come satan and all his tactics.
The Lord has taken away the fear, the anxiety. He is removing all those things that hinder us in our growth. He is building us up. Molding and shaping us to be vessels of honor in His hands.
We are and will be conformed to the Lord. That the new life in Christ indeed is coming forth. That in the lifting up of the Lord in our lives, will draw others to want to know more about Him.
Don’t play chicken with the enemy!
Stand!
Be strong and he, the enemy will flee from you, for He that is in you, is greater than he that is in the world!!
Till Later,
Paul
